In recent weeks, there has been a lot of buzz surrounding the upcoming release of the Apple iPhone 7. The newest members of the iPhone family are expected to be unveiled during the first half of September, and rumors about big changes to come are flying left and right.
Read on to hear more about some of the most-talked-about potential new features.
Three New Versions
Everyone was expecting the release of an iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, but the latest rumor is that there will be another new option as well: iPhone 7 Pro. Like the iPhone 7 Plus, the iPhone 7 Pro is expected to feature a 5.5 inch screen. It may also offer a Smart Connector (like the iPad Pro) and a dual-lens camera for improved image quality and low-light performance.
Updated Home Button
Another feature that we might see on the iPhone 7 is an updated home button. Rumor has it that in place of the physical home button Apple products are so well known for, there will be a virtual “button” located at the bottom of the phones touch-screen.
Waterproofing
This rumor has been around for months and if it turns out to be true, it will definitely be our favorite new feature. While there are already phones waterproof up to 1P67 standards on the market, one that is waterproof to IP68 standards would be even better for those of us who are prone to smartphone mishaps!
No Headphone Jack
The removal of the iPhone’s headphone jack is an idea that has left us scratching our heads since day one. Would we all have to go out and purchase Bluetooth headphones? Will Apple be giving us all a few pair with the purchase of our new phone? This is one rumor we hope has no truth behind it.
We at Beta Breakers look forward to seeing what the newest set of iPhone models will hold, and are interested to see how their new features will play into the mobile QA process.
